A swimming club with a wider role
LBHSC has been part of Hounslow since 1938: a competitive swimming club that is also a registered charity. Lessons, squads and community programmes share the same water and the same values.
Where it started, and where we are now.
Founded in 1938, LBHSC has been part of Hounslow ever since. In 2023 it became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, and its charitable purpose is now written into its structure.
Governance and charity structureA club with real roots in the borough.
More than a swimming club.
Inclusion, empowerment, access, progression, community. Five values shape everything from squad training to free community sessions.
As a charity, the club exists to promote swimming across Hounslow for health, sport and social connection. That purpose sits alongside the coaching and the competition, not underneath it.

Three doors into the same club.
Competitive Swimming
Squads for swimmers who want to train, improve and test themselves, from Bronze 1 through to Performance. Progression is earned and the pathway is clear.
Squad programmesCommunity programmes
Funded programmes that open the water to more of Hounslow: young people, families and adults who might otherwise miss out. Each has its own purpose and joining route.
Community swimmingLearn to Swim
Lessons that build water confidence and technique step by step, for children and adults. Complete beginners start straight away; swimmers with experience are assessed so they join the right group.
